Dungeon Masters Dream

This app is great for the on the go DM. It has plenty of features in its compendium for lower level planning, and has options for adding the higher level based items in. The applications dice rolling function is very useful since I cant just carry my dice with me.

Completely Changed Game Night!

This app, along with the same developers Game Master app have both completely changed game night for the better. What used to pause game to look things up, or to calculate effects, or to simply note things now runs seamlessly. We have found game to run more smoothly, and with more fun. And after-all, isnt that the point?

Pretty Good

It has and calculates everything you need as long as you put in the right info. This is a very flexible app.

Excellent App but missing the boat

I’d pay for the extra XML files to complete the sourcebooks for PFRPG. As it is I can’t even find a site that has these on it for download.

Great App

Its a really great app. The import feature can transform it into a truly robust piece of work. Id like to see the ability to import feats. Feats in general can use a little work; a field for prerequisites, a game mechanics normal function and any special functions. Items could use a price field; it would help in keeping track of spending when rolling a new character. I would also like to see Spell DCs per spell level, similar to whats on the official character sheets. Ive been using it for Pathfinder Society games and it makes keeping track of everything much simpler. Compiling my compendium from the PRD is pretty simple, though a time consuming process. The updates keep coming, and Im looking forward to seeing whats in store. Again Ill say it: great app!

Excellent utility app

It only contains the core rules though. Is there a resource for all of the other open content from the supplemental books? If I could find that then this goes way up to a 5.

Great for character building

Im somewhat new to d&d and this app helped tremendously lots of prebuilt spells and characters all you need to do is plug an play with a few manual additions that you need to pull from the books and your off if you are looking for something more in the realm where you design the whole sheet I really enjoyed sheetyourself either way its a great app for most of your needs

Two tiny criticisms

This app is amazing! I only have two problems: The way (or lack thereof) it handles multiple attacks leaves much to be desired. It doesnt account for BAB 6+ having an additional BAB at -5, so once BAB hits 6 you have to track other attacks separately using the attack macros. The macros are easy to make, though, so its not a huge deal. Plus it automatically adds BAB and base saves for multiclassed characters! The other problem is with the character spell book, which doesnt automatically track used spell slots (e.g. I can have two spells prepared and two slots available, but casting a spell doesnt actually spend a spell slot). That just means I have to click to cast a prepared spell and click again to track my spell slots. Not a big deal, but it also doesnt track spell slots for 0 level spells. Fine for pathfinder, but it doesnt do it on the 3.5 sheet either. Overall, this app is amazing and a HUGE convenience. GUI is A+, glad to have the full basic spell book and equipment list, and I love how you can make your own things (spells, feats, traits, classes, etc.) and save them.

Missing major features even on paid version

I have the PAID version of this d20 fight club app for 3/pathfinder - have been playing around w it a lot and have concluded a few things: 1) its half an app. I love the half that is complete but hate that its not fully functional. 2) EVERYTHING is manual. Thats good and bad. Good you can customize a lot. Bad that nothing works - ie things dont scale with level increases. So great you went from level 5 to 6 and manually entered that, but your corresponding increases to resistances - fort/will/ref saves did not increase as well, so you would have to remember to crack open the book, look up the chart and then manually adjust everything. This is a major issue the developer needs to address. 3) TONS of spells, items equipment, etc are missing, not created yet. You can make them without a ton of work using an XML editor (I tried and created a few), but its time consuming work. Looking online there is a ton of community created stuff for DD v5 but nothing for pathfinder yet. 4) related to #3 above, lots of races that are not completed - annoying, you have to manually create those in the app, there is no way to create in xml and import them. Thats another major flaw - you should be able to import an XML file for other races and classes. 5) I downloaded the app to both my iPhone as well as my iPad however I cant seem to be able to save a character to iCloud or retrieve it to pull it down on the other device. I get an error message. Please fix! Those are all pretty major issues, which would normally make this a 1 star review, but Im giving 3 stars because this app has so much potential and the things that do work do so beautifully.
